NOAA Ozone Balloons
SUPERIOR, CO - JANUARY 9, 2020: Patrick Cullis and Lizzy Asher launch the research instruments in a strong wind. Patrick Cullis, a researcher for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Earth System Research Laboratory Global Monitoring Division, launches one of the ozone balloons south of Superior on January 9, 2020. Work is being done out of NOAA in Boulder to show why the lower part of the ozone might not be healing so well. It involves sending balloons, known as ozonesondes, way up into the atmosphere, and then retrieving them, and the data that they have collected.

TRU COMMUNITY CARE Hug Tent
LONGMONT, CO - November 13, 2020: Aida Belansky, inside tent, was able to hug and talk to her family member, Elaine Belansky, on November 13, 2020. Some families have not been able to hug their loved ones in seven months because of the virus. TRU COMMUNITY CARE in Longmont, hosted a hug tent in the courtyard of the Katherine and Charles Hover Green Houses. The tent is approximately 8 square feet, made of plastic with arm holes. Family members can come and hug their loved ones for 5 minutes through the plastic. The plastic is cleaned between hugs.
